    @SirTeeGeeEss I'm also British, but I'm a bit more extreme (or generous depending on how you look at it), whenever I'm at Tesco or somewhere similar, I just put anything less than a 10p straight into one of the donation jars.

    Pennies only serve the purpose of providing the loose change money through which I buy nearly gone-off donughts and cookies after school. We can probably do without them.
